RESEARCH NOTES
The methods behind the practice.
The Genesis Ritual adapts two established approaches to goal pursuit: implementation intentions and mental contrasting with if–then planning. The research studied these general methods—not THE RICH or the Genesis Pass.
Implementation Intentions
A 2006 meta-analysis covering 94 independent tests reported a medium-to-large average effect on goal attainment (d = .65). An implementation intention specifies when a cue occurs and what action follows.

Mental Contrasting with If–Then Planning
A 2021 meta-analysis of 21 articles contributing 24 independent effects (N = 15,907) reported a small-to-medium average effect (g = .336; 95% CI [.229, .443]). The authors cautioned that publication bias may mean the true effect is smaller.

These findings inform this optional guide. They do not show that buying or viewing a Genesis Pass produces these effects. THE RICH and its visual design have not themselves been clinically or experimentally validated. THE RICH does not promise wealth, income, success, confidence, psychological improvement, or any other outcome. Positive fantasy alone is not a substitute for action.
